I think I could give students a variety of different projects where they could use this software. We study history, culture, geography etc. and they could research a certain country and make a really neat collage using this soft ware! They could easily layer pictures together and have a lot of images to talk about.
I also could make my own photos and presentations better by using this site.
Okay, so I made a picture of my daughter and me. Not exactly school-related, but she's so darn cute!
These are the tools we use frequently in Media Arts. I love having the students explore them all and hearing their opinions on which are great and which are awful (they're always different!)
It is also great to use web-based tools, since they can be found anywhere you have Internet access (and they're free.) Students have also been able to access photos stored on other sites (photobucket, Facebook, etc.), which gives them a more personal investment in their projects.
